Privacy policy
How the HRTools website and HRToolkit browser extension handle your information.
The website
This website introduces HRToolkit and HRStats. It has no sign-in or payment forms. Optional Google Analytics helps us understand website visits. Images and fonts are served with the site. The website does not receive your saved horse records or connect to your extension database.
Optional website analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, we load Google Analytics and allow its cookies to measure page visits, engagement and interactions such as outbound link clicks. Google receives technical information such as your browser and device information, the pages you visit and referral information. Analytics stays off until you allow it. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals.
Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to allow or decline analytics at any time. Declining stops future measurement on this browser and removes this site's Analytics cookies. It does not delete data already received by Google. Your choice is saved in this browser's local storage; clearing site data resets it. Analytics on this website does not access your Horse Reality session or extension database.

Hosting and external links
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes connection information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the website. Links to Horse Reality, extension stores, Discord, Stable Society, Google Docs and Ko-fi take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. This policy covers this website and HRToolkit; it does not describe how the HRStats Discord bot handles data.
The HRToolkit extension
Information used by the extension
HRToolkit reads Horse Reality pages and horse data to provide its features. Depending on your settings and the pages you visit, it saves horse identifiers, names, attributes, genetics, pedigree information, conformation and competition results, ownership details (including player names and IDs), and your tags and recorded history. It also stores the preferences you enter, such as name and tag templates, breeding partner IDs and labels, shortcuts, and background selections.
Where your information is stored
Saved horse records are stored locally in your browser profile. Herd analytics are calculated from those records on your device; they are not website usage tracking. HRToolkit does not upload your horse database to the maintainer or this website, sell your records, or include advertising trackers or usage analytics.
Some settings, including templates, breeding partner preferences, shortcuts and background URLs, use your browser’s extension sync storage. If browser sync is enabled, your browser provider may synchronise these settings across your signed-in browsers. Horse records are not included in that settings sync. Background favourites, shuffle lists and cached library information are stored locally.
Connections to other services
HRToolkit uses your existing Horse Reality session to read horse information and carry out supported actions you choose in the game. It can read the game’s session information and use its request token for requests to Horse Reality. It does not ask for your Horse Reality password or send your session credentials to the maintainer.
The background library loads its catalogue and images from Stable Society. If you choose a custom image URL, your browser requests that image from its host. Those services receive normal connection information, such as your IP address and the requested URL, and may process it under their own privacy policies. Loading a background does not upload your horse database.
Browser permissions
Access to Horse Reality pages lets HRToolkit read game information and apply the features you enable. Browser storage saves records and preferences. Side panel access displays the extension beside the game, and the address-bar shortcut lets you use HRToolkit’s quick navigation. HRToolkit does not collect your general browsing history.
Your choices and deleting data
You can turn automatic horse saving and optional features off in the extension settings, change stored preferences, delete saved horse records, and export records to a file. Exported files remain wherever you save them; sharing a file shares the information it contains. Removing a record from HRToolkit does not remove copies you have already exported.
Local records remain in your browser until you delete them, clear the extension’s storage, or uninstall the extension. Manage browser-synchronised settings through your browser’s sync controls. Disabling a feature does not by itself delete records already saved. Because the maintainer does not hold your local database, we cannot retrieve or delete it for you remotely.
Contact and policy updates
For privacy questions, contact the maintainer through the Stable Society support community. If you send a support message or attach a file, the maintainer and the service you use receive the information you choose to share. Please only include information needed to explain your question.
We will update this page when the website or extension’s data practices change.
